Music Wise

Jaylene Fergus has a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from Southern Cross University, Lismore, with a major in both ‘Performance’ and ‘Music Education’. Her previous music education was through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). Jaylene has performed solo as well as with numerous ensembles in a variety of styles including classical, jazz, Latin, funk, rock, pop, soul and R&B. Jaylene regularly performs with her jazz trio and is the pianist for local big band ‘Galaxy Jazz Band’. With a solid background in both classical and contemporary music, Jaylene offers individual tuition in schools for piano, keyboards, voice, ensembles of various instruments and music theory.  Students have the opportunity to perform at school events, eisteddfods and exams.
